Oproepkracht Ecotoxicologie
Afdeling
De afdeling Discovery & Environmental Sciences bestaat uit circa 90 medewerkers. Binnen deze afdeling wordt onderzoek uitgevoerd naar de veiligheid van bestaande en nieuwe stoffen. Kenmerkend voor het werk is de grote diversiteit aan testen, teststoffen, klanten en samenwerkingen.
De Ecotoxicologie-afdeling is een unieke groep binnen Charles River waar de effecten van producten uit diverse industrieën op het milieu worden onderzocht. Hierbij worden onder andere aquatische organismen ingezet om de korte- en langetermijneffecten van stoffen in kaart te brengen.

Je komt terecht in een enthousiast team van analisten, studieleiders, technisch sectiehoofd en sectiehoofd. Samen zorgen jullie ervoor dat studies volgens hoge kwaliteitsstandaarden worden uitgevoerd voor onze internationale klanten.
Over de functie
Als oproepkracht ondersteun je het team bij de weekend werkzaamheden binnen de afdeling Ecotoxicologie. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor uiteenlopende praktische taken die bijdragen aan een soepel verloop van de studies. Je werkt mee aan studies/werkzaamheden die in het weekend gepland staan. Opleiding voor weekendwerkzaamheden zal doordeweeks plaatsvinden.
Deze functie is ideaal voor studenten of kandidaten die ervaring willen opdoen binnen een laboratorium- en onderzoeksomgeving.
Wat ga je doen?
- Ondersteunen bij dagelijkse werkzaamheden binnen de afdeling;
- Voeren en verzorgen van proeforganismen volgens protocollen;
- Reinigen, voorbereiden en onderhouden van materialen en apparatuur;
- Ondersteunen bij het uitvoeren van studies;
- Uitvoeren van administratieve werkzaamheden;
- Werken volgens Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) en interne procedures.
Wat breng je mee?
- Een achtergrond in of opleiding richting Biologie, Microbiologie, Chemie, Medische Biologie, Dierverzorging of een vergelijkbare richting;
- MBO-, HBO- denkniveau;
- Nauwkeurige en zelfstandige werkhouding;
- Goede communicatieve vaardigheden en een proactieve instelling;
- Affiniteit met laboratorium- en onderzoekswerk;
- Bereidheid om alleen weekenden en op feestdagen te werken.
Nice to have
- In het bezit van een Artikel 13f-certificaat;
- Of momenteel in opleiding voor het behalen van een Artikel 13f-certificaat;
- Goede beheersing van de Engelse taal.
