Job Summary
Charles River is seeking a highly creative Senior Multimedia Designer to drive the strategy and execution of digital and offline marketing materials.
This role plays a key part in shaping our brand’s visual presence across various channels, ensuring alignment with our strategic marketing and communications goals. The ideal candidate has a diverse design skillset and experience creating assets for video, websites, social media, email, print, presentations, and more. With a digital-first approach, you’ll lead design projects from concept to completion, delivering high-quality work that meets business objectives and maintains brand standards.
Position will work remotely, from home office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop engaging multimedia content across digital and print platforms, including video, web, social media, and marketing materials.
- Own the design process for assigned projects from concept to final execution, ensuring quality while adhering to deadlines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business objectives into effective visual designs.
- Maintain and manage brand standards, including logos, color palettes, typography, and brand guidelines, while acting as a steward of the visual brand and reinforcing best practices.
- Leverage data and analytics to iterate and refine design approaches based on performance metrics and user insights.
- Collaborate on branding and promotional materials with Marketing Team.
- Develop media content for corporate and communications with Communications Team.
- Coordinate media production and creative partnerships with External Agencies.
Job Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Arts, Visual Communications, or a related field required.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in multimedia design, digital media production, or a similar creative field.
- Proven experience in leading multimedia projects from concept to execution.
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative storytelling and technical expertise in motion graphics, video editing, and digital design.
- Other:
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator,) and other design tools.
- Strong understanding of design principles and digital media trends.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate design concepts.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with visual identity design, ensuring consistency across print, digital, and video media.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working in corporate branding, advertising agencies, or digital marketing teams.
- Strong layout and typography skills to create visually compelling and brand-aligned designs.
- Proven ability to develop interactive multimedia storytelling experiences that drive audience engagement.
- Understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and editing techniques for corporate, commercial, and social media videos
WORKPLACE REQUIREMENTS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and work/type at a computer
- Ability to thrive in a remote environment, effectively balancing independent work with seamless collaboration.
- Travel may be required for multimedia shoots, events, or team meetings.
Compensation Data
The pay range for this position is $75,000K - $85,000K USD annually. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
