Job Summary

We are seeking a Lab Inventory Support Technician to work in our Embryology Department at our Wilmington, MA location.

 

 

**This is a short term assignment lasting for approximately 6 months.


 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for daily checks and maintenance of supplies essential for standard laboratory operation. 
  • Perform daily checks of laboratory equipment, including incubators and biological safety cabinets, to assure they are operating correctly and are ready for use by the lab.
  • Perform regular check of the levels of liquid nitrogen in tanks used for storage of cryopreserved inventory and refill on an as needed basis. 
  • Maintain accurate and up to date inventory record of cryopreserved product. 
  • As necessary, assist the lab in shipping and receiving of cryopreserved product to and from costumers.
  • Support lab operations whenever needed.
  • Adhere to all departmental SOPs, policies, safety procedures, and protocols.
  • Must be able to work in a laboratory environment requiring use of personal protective equipment.
  • Works productively in a group situation as well as independently.
  • Job pace may be fast and job completion demands may be high.
  • Must be able to lift equipment of up to 35 lbs. in weight. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.)
  • 0-1 years experience.   On the job training will be provided.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in computers (i.e., Microsoft Office).

 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • General laboratory experience.
  • Database experience.

 

 

The hourly pay rate for this position is $17.75.  Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
