Job Summary

Including operations and commercial teams to produce a wide variety of deliverables focusing on the 5-year strategy of our business. Your insightful contribution and fresh perspective will help develop and expand our initiatives and assist you with acquiring presentation/communication skills and the knowledge of various industry/operational strategies. An Internship/Co-op at Charles River Labs provides real world, hands-on experience for college students looking to gain knowledge and skills required for your career field of choice, while giving you an unparalleled internship experience. We are dedicated to ensuring our Co-op/Intern population can experience the ability to Grow, Perform, and Succeed during their time on board. Responsible for support with basic procedures, facility and/or other administrative/IT functions, as assigned.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 

  • Working with our senior leadership teams to provide insights and deliverables to business leaders articulating our 5-year strategy. 
  • Hands-on interaction with all stakeholders including, executives, senior leaders, SMEs, and certain external partners. 
  • Culminate in a strategic planning presentation to the Executive Committee that you will listen in to and be tasked with follow-up actions. 
  • The creation of PowerPoint decks and assisting with summarizing and/or researching relevant data.
  • Opportunity to also work on the initial implementation of projects

Job Qualifications

Education:
Student currently enrolled in an accredited college/ university, BA or MBA program
Experience:
Prior security team experience 
Certification/Licensure:  None expected, but certificates obtained during coursework are a plus.

Other:
Proven trustworthiness and history of acting with integrity, taking pride in work, seeking to excel, being curious and adaptable, and communicating effectively.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Capable of working with diverse teams.
Organized and punctual.
Confident, but humble and willing to learn and take initiative.
 
Physical Demands:
Must regularly operate a computer and occasionally operate other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. 
Must regularly communicate with employees/customers; must be able to exchange accurate information.

Compensation Data

The pay range for this position is $21-23/hr. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.

About Corporate Functions 
The Corporate Functions provide operational support across Charles River in areas such as Human Resources, Finance, IT, Legal, Sales, Quality Assurance, Marketing, and Corporate Development. They partner with their colleagues across the company to develop and drive strategies and to set global standards. The functions are essential to providing a bridge between strategic vision and operational readiness, to ensure ongoing functional innovation and capability improvement.
