SUMMARY

The role is responsible for the full spectrum of accounting in Singapore office. This includes managing day‑to‑day activities of the accounts department, such as maintaining the general ledger, preparing weekly and monthly financial reports, managing account receivable and payable, customer billing, managing staff claims, and closing of monthly financial book.  The incumbent is expected to possess good accounting knowledge, and provide operational accuracy data to management for effective decision making.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Day-to-day duties and operations of the accounts department
• Management of capital and fixed assets, accounts payable, accounts receivables
• Preparation of IRAS GST submission
• General Ledger accounting
• Liaising with finance software vendor for maintenance and applications
• Perform revenue and expenditure variance analysis
• Prepares weekly and monthly financial reports, year-end closing, and annual audits
• Oversee internal control function and administration of financial policy
• Oversees stock entries and monthly stock-take
• Treasury Reporting
• Vendor Payment
• Accounts Receivable Management and Collection
• Handle full set of accounts
• Monitor revenue and expenditure transactions.
• Responsible for the preparation of audit reports for submission
• Coordinate the annual filing of statutory corporate documents with ACRA
• Assists in the preparation of annual Corporate tax return with external tax consultant
• Provide support and assistance for general administrative, finance and other general HR support as needed
• Perform billings to customers, generate weekly sales report, management of claims in Concur System, prepare monthly bank reconciliation

 

REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) or equivalent in Accounting.
• Experience: Five to Eight years related experience and/or training in Accounting, financial planning and analysis. Exchequer experience preferred. Strong US GAAP experience a must.
• Team player with positive working attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and has good time management
• Proficient in written & spoken English, and MS Office applications
