Job Summary

As a Software Development Specialist for our Instrumentation team at the Senneville location, you will be creating specialized software tool set as well as supporting the technical and scientific groups with their software issues.


In this role, primary responsibilities include:

  • Participates in software development in a lead role, code writing, documentation, and testing, and assume an administrative function where applicable;
  • Handles requests to correct coding issues related to the design of the software or macros or tool set, generate the appropriate documentation, and provide user support;
  • Prepares updates to the standard operation procedures (SOP) linked to the applications;
  • Conducts training of staff with respect to the operation of customized software tool sets, macros, or applications;
  • Performs troubleshooting of problems or potential problems with the scientific and technical staff, where appropriate, to establish and implement solutions as quickly as possible;
  • Maintain a system of documentation standard and perform the maintenance of the system, trouble shooting, repair ,code modification, as well as electronic archive process as per the GLP norms to assure the continuity of the software.

Key Elements

We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role: 

  • DEP or DEC in Information Technology or Laboratory Sciences;
  • 1-2 years’ experience in client service;
  • Base knowledge in programming;
  • Mastering of Excell;
  • Ability to work autonomously;
  • Billingual ( French & English).

 

Role Specific Information:

  • Location: 22022 route Transcanadienne, Senneville, QC, H9X 1C1;
  • Transportation: We offer a free shuttle service from the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue train station and John Abbott College to the Senneville site. Free parking. Electric vehicle charging station;
  • Annual bonus based on performance;
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, day schedule;
  • Permanent position as of the hiring, full-time 37.5hrs per week.

Charles River is committed to helping our partners expedite their preclinical drug development with exceptional safety assessment services, state-of-the-art facilities and expert regulatory guidance.
