Job Summary

As an Intern for our Canadian Communication team, you will work in an environment where employees are split between office and operational roles, allowing you to learn how to effectively adapt messages and communication channels to different internal audiences.

 

For this internship, possible mandates and responsibilities depending on your strengths and interests include:

 

Internal Achievements Recognition Program

  • Develop and implement processes for collecting, validating, and promoting notable team achievements across the organization;
  • Design templates and tools that can be used consistently across all Canadian sites;
  • Write, edit, and enhance content intended for internal communication channels;
  • Create engaging multiplatform content such as short videos and mini reports.

 

Harmonization of Internal Digital Tools

  • Review and compare the intranet pages used by local and national teams;
  • Recommend an optimized information architecture to improve navigation and accessibility;
  • Contribute to the visual and editorial alignment of intranet content;
  • Develop standards, templates, and best practices to support efficient content updates.

 

Community Relations – Senneville Site

  • Support the development of a community engagement plan;
  • Map community organizations aligned with the site’s mission and priorities;
  • Assist in the coordination and promotion of the local volunteer program;
  • Build and maintain partnerships with relevant community stakeholders;
  • Draft and disseminate content highlighting the site’s contributions to the community.

 

Support for Daily Operations

  • Write, edit, and review internal communications;
  • Create and update intranet and newsletter content;
  • Maintain and improve documents, templates, and communication tools;
  • Coordinate internal requests and ensure timely follow-up;
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing initiatives;
  • et points using easy to understand language clearly defining the responsibilities of the role.

Key Elements

We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role:  

  • Bachelor’s or master’s student in communications;
  • Excellent writing, summarizing and simplifying communication skills;
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel);
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva (an asset);
  • Strong organizational skills, rigor, and autonomy;
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multisite environment;
  • Interest in internal communication, community relations, or digital communication;
  • Strong proficiency in French, both oral and written.

    • Sherbrooke: Easily accessible using Sherbrooke’s public transit system. Free parking. Electric vehicle charging station
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day schedule, Hybrid (3-4 days on site, 1-2 days from home)
  • Temporary position, full-time 37.5hrs per week

About Safety Assessment
Charles River is committed to helping our partners expedite their preclinical drug development with exceptional safety assessment services, state-of-the-art facilities and expert regulatory guidance.
