SUMMARY
Responsible for selling and promoting Charles River Microbial Solutions products/services to assigned customers in a nominated territory. Maintain and increase sales at new and existing accounts through proactive and outbound field account management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Sell the company’s Endosafe, Accugenix and Celsis products/services to accounts by contacting both established customers and developing new prospects.
• Diligently maintain SFDC or any other Charles River CRM system, incl. adding customers and customer information, logging customer calls and meetings, creating and updating sales opportunities, and capturing marketing event leads.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all Endosafe, Accugenix and Celsis products, services and policies.
• Participate in all required specialized training for specific product/ service line(s)
• Develop an effective Territory Plan to ensure that all customers in the given territory are proactively engaged with on a regular basis.
• Manage a quarterly Territory Management Plan including opportunities and sales strategies.
• Attend customer conferences, networking events and other industry events to build contact lists, showcase our products and promote Charles River’s products and services.
• Maintain customer appointments and perform "cold" calls requiring professional business acumen.
• Conduct product demonstrations to potential customers as well as provide product training and support when needed.
• Research business and trade media to identify new potential customers in our industry
• Establish customer needs and requirements for Company products and services.
• Initiate all administrative details to execute the sales process flow.
• Share customer problems/concerns with your supervisor for quality resolution.
• Proactively and collaboratively engage with other internal departments
• From time to time, attend regional or international sales meetings.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.
The following are minimum qualifications related to this position:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) or equivalent in life sciences, sales or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience, with at least 2 of those years having direct client interface.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above
• Certification/Licensure: None.
• Other: Excellent interpersonal, customer relationship and leadership skill
