JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to support our Production site in Hollister, CA. As the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, you are responsible for: personnel performing the shipping, receiving, and mail functions. This includes oversight of the day-to-day processes, as well as the development and training of the shipping / receiving staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise shipping and receiving staff in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
- Manage site stockroom inventory and administer cycle counting procedures.
- Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, including hazardous materials, controlled substances, radioactive items, and live animals.
- Verify shipping information against bills of lading, invoices, and orders; resolve discrepancies and damaged goods issues.
- Coordinate deliveries and stocking of warehouse and satellite stockrooms.
- Review and correct invoices and purchase orders; troubleshoot back orders and past-due orders; process product returns.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Procurement, and end users to resolve blocked invoices and goods receipts.
- Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
- 3 years of related leadership experience in shipping and receiving
- Contract Research Organization experience preferred
- Licensed to operate tier lift truck or able to use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from Shipping and Receiving department to storage or work areas.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels inside and outside the organization.
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Computer skills, commensurate with Essential Functions, including the ability to learn a validated system.
- Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to evenings, weekends, extended shifts, and/or extra shifts, sometimes on short notice.
- Ability to work under specific time constraints.
PAY TRANSPARENCY
The pay range for this position is $70,000 - 80,000 / annually . Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
