Job Summary

CRL Microbial Solutions is seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Field Customer Support Specialist (Field Service Engineer) to support our flagship instrument—the Nexus automated Endotoxin testing system.

A critical role to ensure customer satisfaction through expert service, repair, calibration, and troubleshooting of our systems and requires travel between our key sites as well as customer sites to ensure continual smooth operation and support of our product(s).

The candidate will have a full driver’s licence, Own vehicle and ability to travel throughout Ireland. We offer a monthly car allowance and milage allowance to support running cost of vehicle.

This role is offered as a 12-month fixed term contract role with possibility of extension thereafter.

 

 

 

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Provide on-site and remote support for the Nexus system, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Perform instrument calibration and validation in compliance with GMP standards.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure timely resolution to minimize customer downtime.
  • Support customer onboarding, including training, validation, and application support.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
  • Continual training in your role: We offer full onsite technical training with technical coaching and continual support via pairing with a technical buddy and international teams who are on hand to troubleshoot specific items with a collaborative team approach.

 

 

 

Qualifications, Experience and requirements

 

  • Degree or equivalent field experience in Engineering or Life Sciences.
  • A strong proven experience in a technical, laboratory, or field service role.
  • Experience in validation and working in GMP environments is a strong advantage.
  • Strong software and engineering skillset.
  • Proven ability to problem-solve complex technical issues under pressure.
  • Familiarity with SOPs, safety protocols, and regulated environments.
  • Full Irish drivers licence and own vehicle
  • Willingness to travel as required to support customer needs some overnight stays required.
  • Occasional infrequent travel in Europe may also be required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
