We have a newly opened position available in our Dublin site for a Facilities Electrician to join our established and versatile facilities team who provide gold standard support and would be interested to support less experienced electricians that want to progress with a global company in a group of around 100, across 2 sites.
The primary function of this role to provide day-to-day support to the site as a member of the Facilities team, with a strong focus on the provision of equipment maintenance support to all Site, Laboratory and Utilities equipment. This position will be the Site Subject Matter Expert for laboratory, utility, facility equipment on the site and ensure all associated equipment sets are always available in a safe and compliant condition. This is a key role and will provide equipment support to ensure the efficient operation of all critical site equipment in accordance with safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
Responsible for the maintenance through efficient external contract management of utilities and laboratory equipment e.g. Electrical Systems, HVAC, Air Handlings Units, Autoclaves, Warehouse equipment general Bench-top lab equipment, Sprinkler Systems, Security Systems, Cold-room’s.
Ensure Equipment & Utilities comply with cGMP requirements and that maintenance execution is in accordance with documented procedures.
Manage and co-ordinate emergency\breakdown repair on all equipment to ensure that there are minimal disruptions to site operations.
Support the Facilities Team on a day-to-day basis, identify training requirements and develop the skillset within the group to support operations.
Budget and monitor spending. Work within budget limits and continually improve budgetary performance.
Support the Facilities Department in regulatory and client audits as required.
Completing any deviations and impact investigation on failures and implementing engineering related CAPA actions.
Support the Site Preventative Maintenance and Calibration program for the Site ensuring that they comply with current regulations.
Coordination of on-site Contractor Activities to ensure adherence to EH&S and Quality systems are maintained.
Assist in the execution of Validation Projects (IQ, OQ & PQ) relating to site equipment where required.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
Maintenance of key site documents to include Engineering Work Requisitions PM Schedules Weekly Facility Checklists, Equipment records and files.
Oversee breakdown and preventive maintenance on all equipment e.g. Pumps, AHU’s (Air Handling Units), A/C (Air Conditioning), Generators & BMS (Building Management System), Emergency Generators, Sprinkler Systems & Laboratory Equipment.
Ensuring that all site safety equipment is regularly maintained.

Skills and Experience
National Craft Certificate \ City & Guilds in electrical discipline or equivalent recognised qualification.
Work related experience in a Medical Device / Pharmaceutical industry.
Physical Demands:
Lifting, Standing, working overhead and at height as required.
Manual Work as required.
Work Environment:
Working within Test Laboratories
Frequent Outdoor work environment
