Job Summary

Rare opportunity to join the Global Account Management Team. This high profile and challenging role requires a high calibre professional who is able to establish and implement business development plans and influence designated key global customers to utilise CRL services more expansively, ensuring that maximized penetration, increased market share and sales are achieved in a manner which retains high profitability in support of operational financial plans.

 

This is a remote working role and can be based anywhere within Europe or the UK with provision for access to a major international transport hub to faciliate ease of travel as required by the role. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  


•    Serve as key contact for designated global customer accounts.  Monitor customer accounts and recommend specific customer sales interaction, as required.
•    In conjunction with VP Global Accounts, partner with CRL General Counsel and head of pertinent business segment in the negotiation of global contracts.
•    Develop strong relationships within targeted key global accounts; provide information, strategic direction and advice, as appropriate, to ensure that such customers are fully aware of CRL’s product and service offerings on a global basis.
•    Share customer problems/concerns with all appropriate departments for quality resolution.
•    Evaluate specific customer needs and recommend alternative methods and sales strategies to maximize sales penetration while retaining high profitability; use detailed reports and analyses regarding targeted customers to refine global sales strategies for target customers.
•    Develop general sales strategies to maximize sales to large dollar potential accounts, leveraging on CRL’s global presence and capabilities.
•    Gather data on marketing trends and competitive products and pricing.
•    Develop and qualify account leads through frequent customer contact and prospecting.
•    Handle initial inquiries and qualify all prospective opportunities. Effectively communicate the value proposition of the company’s products and services. 
•    Work with the Global Account team to develop an annual forecast. Create monthly and quarterly progress reports and provide the corporate senior management team with input to achieve global sales strategies and targeted sales growth.   
•    Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets for target accounts.
•    Participate in sales meetings and trade shows as required.
•    Utilise CRM to capture customer information.
•    Ensure adherence to pertinent regulatory requirements and to departmental policies, practices and procedures [SOPs, safety procedures and biosafety protocols].

Job Qualifications

Experience:   

  • Established track record of selling both products and services to the pharmaceutical, medical device or healthcare provider sectors required; biopharma R&D experience preferred.  
  • Demonstrable evidence of consistently meeting challenging targets by selling at an international accounts or senior level.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

 

Certification/Licensure:  

  • Valid driver’s license required.

 

Other:  

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.  
  • Proficient in the use of standard office computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, e-mail).

 

Languages:

  • Exemplary level of written and spoken English (Business) essential. Proficiency in one or more of the following would be advantageous: French, German, Dutch, Austrian / Swiss.

 

This role requires a degree of international travel for client and internal CRL meetings (30% - 60% dependent on business need) and as such applicants should be aware of the need to have ease of access to a key international airport / transport hub. 


Salary and benefits will be determinate upon level of candidate experience and country of residence guidance.
