As a Talent Acquisition Partner, you will lead the provision of recruiting support across multiple business areas within Charles River Labs. You will manage a requisition load of exempt and non-exempt roles, with a focus on filling positions in a timely and cost-effective manner, while ensuring a high level of client support. This role provides relationship management and strategic talent acquisition advice to managers and leaders, as well as HR business partners. Additionally, this role will provide the opportunity to participate in strategic, high-impact projects and initiatives related to the global talent acquisition function. 

 

Note: This is an interim contract role until 31st Dec 2025, with the possibility of extension depending on our upcoming recruitment volume. It is a fully remote position open to candidates based in Europe, the UK, or Ireland. The candidate must be fluent in Dutch, German, and English.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Full-Cycle Recruitment

  • Effectively partner with hiring managers to better understand business needs and assess position goals and requirements.
  • Pre-screen all applicable candidates, recommending candidates to the hiring manager based on detailed requirements of the position and job competencies; provide the manager with reasoning for advancing a candidate.
  • Ensure recruitment activity is updated in an accurate, compliant, and timely manner within the applicant tracking system.

 

Stakeholder Management & Strategic Partnership

  • Establish credibility and remain engaged with hiring managers and senior management to stay abreast of the hiring process.
  • Track and provide reporting as needed.
  • Participate in workforce planning initiatives.
  • Proactively work with hiring managers and human resources business partners regarding future organizational structure.
  • Systematically and proactively approach hiring managers across all business lines regarding recruitment cost controls.
  • Proactive partnership with HR business partners when an employee or hiring manager issue is identified.

 

Sourcing & Talent Pipeline Development

  • Utilize various cost-effective sourcing strategies, such as job boards, CRM, networking, resume mining, social networking, cold calling, employee referral programs, college/university recruiting, and job fairs to source and attract top talent.
  • Partner with the employer branding team to leverage social media platforms and launch campaigns as needed.
  • Create and maintain relationships with candidates to keep the pipeline open for future positions.

 

Process Optimization and Projects

  • Lead or support initiatives to improve recruitment processes, tools, and systems.
  • Optimize candidate experience.
  • Innovate the way we attract top talent.

 

Mentorship & Team Enablement

  • Support junior recruiters through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and guidance on best practices.
  • Share knowledge of the business and talent acquisition with colleagues and stakeholders across the business.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Powerful experience in recruiting is required; in a corporate (not agency) environment is desired.
  • Bachelor's Degree Desired, High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in the life sciences industry is preferred.
  • Certification in Social Talent, AIRS, LinkedIn, or other sourcing tools is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to partner with the human resources business partner for present/future staffing needs.
  • Skilled at planning and prioritizing work activities; able to easily adapt as goals, priorities, and role responsibilities may change.
  • Proficiency in using IT staffing tools (i.e., ATS, internet job boards, networking, and social media).
  • Demonstrated experience working with all levels of executives and management.
  • Must have strong interviewing and closing skills, with professional training in behavior-based interviewing techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex problems.
  • Must be fluent in Dutch, German, and English
  • Candidates must be based across Europe & the UK, and Ireland.  

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • This role may be remote or at one of our sites.  Must have experience recruiting nationally.
