Afdeling Chemie
De afdeling Chemie bestaat uit ongeveer 100 medewerkers, verdeeld over de units Analytische en Fysische Chemie, Environmental Fate, Bioanalyse, Ontvangst van Testmaterialen en Formulering. Ons onderzoek is divers en richt zich op het veilig gebruik van nieuwe stoffen. We beschikken over een modern laboratorium met geavanceerde technieken zoals UPLC-UV, LC-(MS)MS, GC-FID, GC-(MS)MS en ICP-(MS)MS.
Ons team
Binnen ons team heerst een informele en prettige werksfeer. Als stagiair werk je samen met ervaren professionals aan uiteenlopende analytisch-chemische vraagstukken, onder andere ter ondersteuning van de ontwikkeling van nieuwe geneesmiddelen.
Mogelijke afstudeerprojecten
Wil je jouw afstudeerproject doen bij Charles River Laboratories (CRL) binnen Analytische en Fysische Chemie, Environmental Fate of Bioanalyse? Dan maak je kennis met alle facetten van werken in een contract research laboratorium.
Onder begeleiding van een ervaren analist voer je analyses uit voor (eco)toxicologische studies. Je leert onder andere monsterverwerking, GC/ICP/LC-analyse en dataverwerking. Daarnaast maak je kennis met Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
Je sluit de stage af met een verdiepend onderzoek en een scriptie over jouw project.
Voorbeelden van projecten
- Herzuiveren van radiogelabelde analyten (Environmental Fate)
Voor Environmental Fate moeten radiogelabelde analyten een zuiverheid van >95% hebben. Omdat de stabiliteit vooraf niet bekend is, kan herzuivering nodig zijn. Het doel van de stage is het opzetten van dit proces.
- Overzetten van validatiestudies naar een nieuw systeem (Analytische Chemie)
Alle studies worden uitgevoerd volgens OECD-richtlijnen en moeten elke vier jaar opnieuw gevalideerd worden. Voor de bepaling van de verdelingscoëfficiënt is een nieuw component nodig. Het doel van de stage is onderzoeken welk component geschikt is en een methode ontwikkelen en valideren.
Wat vragen wij?
- Vierdejaars hbo-student Analytische Chemie;
- Ook masterstudenten Analytische Chemie zijn welkom;
- Veilig en effectief kunnen werken in een laboratorium;
- Enthousiasme voor analytische technieken en API-karakterisering in de farmaceutische industrie;
- Basiskennis van HPLC en/of GC (pré);
- Initiatief en zelfstandigheid;
- Beschikbaar voor 4–6 maanden, 5 dagen per week;
- Bereid om te reizen naar Den Bosch (Analytische Chemie en Environmental Fate) of Schaijk (Bioanalyse en Fysische Chemie).

- Geef in je motivatiebrief aan welke afdeling of project jouw voorkeur heeft;
- Na beoordeling van je sollicitatie hoor je of je wordt uitgenodigd voor een gesprek;
- Tijdens het gesprek bespreken we het onderwerp van jouw stage;
