Business Specialist
As a Business Specialist, you play a key role in supporting the business acquisition process within the Safety Assessment division. You are responsible for developing high quality, customized study outlines within an assigned area of expertise, using your scientific knowledge to translate client needs into well structured study designs.
Working closely with colleagues across Client Services, Scientific Operations, Business Development, Project Coordination, and Business Finance, you provide scientific and technical guidance throughout the proposal phase, ensuring accuracy, regulatory alignment, and a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
• Create high quality, customized study outlines within your assigned area of expertise to support the Safety Assessment business acquisition process.
• Assess client requests and apply scientific knowledge to design tailored study solutions.
• Provide scientific and technical advice during proposal development and study design.
• Collaborate closely with Client Services, Scientific Operations, Business Development, Project Coordination, and Business Finance to ensure an efficient and coordinated proposal process.
• Ensure all study outlines are accurate, complete, and aligned with regulatory and sponsor requirements.
Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (BSc/BA/MSc) in natural sciences, biosciences, toxicology, environmental sciences, or a related discipline.
• A strong scientific background with the ability to apply knowledge in a commercial, client-focused role.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with confidence engaging clients and internal stakeholders.
• High attention to detail, strong administrative skills, and the ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple priorities using your own initiative.
• Experience in a scientific or regulatory environment is a plus, but not essential—training will be provided.
