Job Summary

ROLE PURPOSE:

To provide strategic and operational support to in vitro research activities through the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of leased laboratory and office facilities. The role owns the EHS strategy and culture and leads the integrated management of laboratory infrastructure and facilities.

 

Profile and Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

EHS:
- Develop and maintain EHS strategy, policies and manuals
- Regulatory and authority liaison, permit management
- Risk assessments, audits and incident investigations
- Hazardous materials, isotope and SDS management
- EHS training programs and safety culture development

LAB OPERATIONS:

Oversight of laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration
- Collaboration with research leaders to optimize workflows
- Define PPE requirements and maintain laboratory safety infrastructure

FACILITY MANAGEMENT (LEASED):
- Liaison with landlords and facility operators
- Management of maintenance and refurbishment programs
- Coordination of facility service providers

LEADERSHIP & BUDGETING:
- Plan and control EHS and facility budgets
- Lead and develop EHS & Facility teams
- Executive decision support and regular reporting

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: BSc or MSc degree
  • Professional Experience: Relevant experience in EHS; experience in laboratory, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology environments is an advantage
  • Language Skills: Professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken
  • At least 3 years of people leader experience

SKILLS:

  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent communication skills at both operational and leadership levels
  • Proficient user-level knowledge of Microsoft Office
