Job Summary
As a Senior Data Privacy Analyst, you have to be a subject matter expert across (Data Privacy) IT compliance areas, including privacy and compliance, to ensure appropriate processes, procedures, and controls are in place and adhered to. Collaborate with business groups and internal/external auditors to ensure that statutory and regulatory controls are adequately designed, implemented, and/or remediated to meet audit and compliance requirements. Steward improvement and/or remediation efforts associated with statutory and regulatory compliance.
Note: It’s a fully remote home-based role for professionally qualified and experienced candidates based in India, who are willing and open to work UK shifts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Privacy & Data Protection experience is a mandatory experience for this role. e.g and not limited to India Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and GDPR
• Privacy Third-Party Risk Management: Conduct and manage end-to-end vendor privacy risk assessments
• Audit & Client Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors during Privacy compliance reviews. Complete Privacy questionnaires for prospective and existing clients
• DSARs: Respond to data subject access requests (DSARs) and support ongoing data protection processes
• RoPA Management: Own and manage the Record of Processing Activities process, and continuous improvement of RoPA by leveraging the privacy management platform (TrustArc)
• Carrying out Data Privacy Impact Assessments
• Supporting, informing, and advising the business on the use of personal data (Privacy by Default and Design)
• Policy, Training & Awareness: Assist in developing and updating privacy and compliance policies, procedures, and training materials.
• Contribute to IT risk and controls program strategies, design, development, implementation, and communication.
• Ensure compliance with the CRL Global Privacy Framework by collecting and reviewing evidence
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related field.
• 5 plus years of related experience in a data privacy support and Compliance role.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
Skills And Abilities:
- Strong understanding of privacy laws e.g., DPDP Act, GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, UK-GDPR, China Data Privacy regulatory and internal control regulations and frameworks as they relate to IT processes. High desirable
- Experience in Privacy Management Tools, such as TrustArc Desirable
- Fluency in English
