Job Summary
We are seeking a QA Test Engineer specializing in Salesforce platform testing, with strong expertise in automation frameworks and hands-on experience validating Salesforce applications, customizations, integrations, and UI components. Experience with TestIM for Salesforce UI automation is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will design and maintain automated test suites for Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Apttus CPQ/CLM and custom Salesforce components (Apex, LWC, Flows).
This remote position will work from a home office in India.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Salesforce Platform Quality Engineering
· Validate end-to-end business processes across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and CPQ/CLM.
· Test Salesforce-specific components including Apex classes, batch jobs, triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce Flows, Validation Rules and Permission Models.
· Perform comprehensive regression testing during major Salesforce releases, patches, and managed package upgrades.
· Collaborate with Salesforce Developers, Architects, and Admins to understand technical designs, metadata structures, and automation impacts.
Salesforce Automation – TestIM & Other Tools
· Build and maintain automated test suites for Salesforce UI workflows using TestIM (preferred).
· Develop reusable automation assets for regression, smoke, and functional testing across Salesforce features.
· Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Gearset, Copado, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
· Ensure automation scripts handle dynamic Salesforce DOM structures, custom components, and record-level variations.
· Identify automation gaps and continuously improve automation coverage related to Salesforce user journeys.
Release, Deployment & Governance Support
· Validate metadata deployments and perform testing for releases in sandbox environments.
· Support UAT cycles and coordinate test execution across cross-functional teams.
· Ensure testing adheres to regulatory and compliance frameworks (SOX, GDPR, GxP).
· Maintain detailed test documentation including test cases, traceability, defect logs, and execution reports.
Job Qualifications
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science is preferred.
· Experience: 3–5 years of experience in software QA with a strong focus on Salesforce platform testing, test automation, and hands-on experience with any automation framework. TestIM experience strongly preferred.
· Technical Expertise: Experience with Salesforce testing, including Apex logic validation, LWC/UI testing, Flows, integrations, API testing (REST/SOAP), SOQL/SOSL, data validation, and automation using tools such as TestIM, Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
· Certifications: Industry-recognized automation testing certifications such as ISTQB (CTFL/CTAL), Certified Selenium Tester, Test Automation Engineer (TAE) or equivalent.
· Development & Troubleshooting: Proficiency in analyzing and validating Apex, LWC, Flow behavior, SOQL queries, triggers, and understanding of Salesforce design patterns & testing frameworks. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills across Salesforce metadata and automation layers.
· Agile & Collaboration: Experience working in Agile environments with excellent communication, teamwork, and business acumen to collaborate effectively with Salesforce Developers, Admins, Architects, and business stakeholders.
