Job Summary

 

The InfoSec Engineer (IAM) is a key member of the Global IT Security organization, responsible for daily operations, queue management, and documentation related to Identity and Access Management (IAM) services. This role focuses on managing incoming requests, resolving user access issues, and maintaining accurate documentation of processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs). The engineer will work closely with senior IAM engineers and analysts to ensure consistent, timely, and compliant IAM service delivery across the enterprise.

 

This position will work remote from home office. Must be able to work UK hours (GMT & BST time zones).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor and manage IAM-related ticket queues, ensuring all requests and incidents are acknowledged, prioritized, and resolved according to SLA.

• Process access requests, password resets, group membership changes, and account provisioning/deprovisioning using established workflows.

• Accurately document issue resolutions, troubleshooting steps, and process improvements in the ITSM system and shared knowledge base.

• Escalate complex or unresolved issues to L3 IAM engineers while providing detailed context and troubleshooting steps performed.

• Assist in maintaining and updating IAM-related documentation, including SOPs, process maps, and user guides.

• Perform user access reviews and periodic audits to validate compliance with access control policies.

• Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring timely provisioning and removal of user access in key systems.

• Conduct daily operational checks for IAM systems such as SSO, MFA, and PAM solutions, reporting anomalies or service degradation.

• Participate in IAM service improvement initiatives by providing feedback on recurring issues or process inefficiencies.

• Collaborate with Security and IT Operations teams to ensure consistent enforcement of access policies and compliance requirements.

 

Job Qualifications

Education:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in IT Support, Service Desk, or IAM operations.

• Familiarity with Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), MFA, SSO, PIM/PAM solutions and access management tools.

• Experience working with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).

• Basic understanding of security principles, authentication/authorization methods, and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, PCI).

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tickets and priorities.

• Excellent written communication skills for clear documentation.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in process execution and recordkeeping.

• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing high-quality service.

• Ability to follow and improve established processes and procedures.

Certifications (Preferred):

• CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, or similar entry-level security/IT certification.
