We are seeking a Cagewash Technician II to join our Insourcing Solutions Team in Baltimore, MD. 
As the Cagewash Technician II, you will clean, sanitize, maintain, and repair all animal caging materials and cagewash facilities/equipment as required. Provide support, oversight and troubleshooting in the absence of the Cagewash Foreman. 
Additional responsibilities include: 
-    Reviews, comprehends and complies with all SOPs and quality assurance standards
-    Operates equipment and uses supplies according to safety guidelines; performs general housekeeping
-    Sanitizes, maintains, and repairs caging materials as needed. Maintains cagewash facilities in a clean and organized manner
-    Dispose of waste materials in a safe and thorough manner
-    Maintains rack washer, tunnel washers, and autoclaves in proper working order and according to SOPs
-    Prepares and submits required written records, charts, logs and inventories.
-    Actively interacts with customers as required to resolve customer requests, inquiries, and complaints and to provide technical assistance
-    Maintains consistent practice of general company and safety policies and procedures and SDS guidelines, including those related to biohazards and radioactive substances
-    In the absence of the Cagewash Foreman, is responsible for scheduling the staff, ensuring the work is completed, and that all related paperwork is completed in a timely manner
-    Assists the Cagewash Foreman with training the staff, either as re-training, group or new hire training

 

Job Qualifications

-    High school diploma OR GED required
-    Minimum 1 year of successful experience in Cagewash facility operations
-    Demonstrated proficiency in detergent/disinfectant usage, use of autoclaves, automated washing machines and conveyors, bedding dispensers, and bottle fillers
-    Demonstrated ability to maintain and repair facility equipment
-    Demonstrated ability to train new employees to competency in all aspects of facility cagewash performance

The hourly rate for this position is $22/hour.
