Job Summary

 

The 2025 Summer Intern - Accugenix QA will be responsible for the develop a photographic database of frequently occurring organisms (FOO) seen in global Accugenix labs to be used as an internal reference.  Primarily, the database would be used for new employees joining the QA report approval team and would be a vital training tool.  The intern will need to collaborate with the Microbial Database team to determine the FOO, identify in-house samples, pull organisms from the culture collection and/or utilize photographs previously taken for other means.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

•    Identify and photograph organism
•    Collaborate with global Accugenix labs to develop an appropriate organizational structure for the database focusing on ease of use 
•    Support the QA/Regulatory Compliance team with departmental tasks 
•    Participate in the vendor program including annual review, qualification follow-up, and verifying liability insurance 
•    Perform other duties as assigned.
 

 

Job Qualifications

  • Student currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a B.A/B.S. in Biology or a scientific related discipline
  • Completion of Sophomore year
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Ability to fulfill a 10-week internship
  • Effective communication and listening skills in a teamwork environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects with a strong attention to detail
  • Computer literacy must include word processing, spreadsheet and technical writing.

 

The pay range for this position is $19.00-$20.00 per hour.  Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
