Job Summary

  • Work on the end-to-end purchase-to-pay process for IT-related expenditures, ensuring adherence to procurement and our security, compliance, quality and financial policies and guidelines.
  • Analyze existing IT expenses and contracts to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or performance.
  • Propose and implement strategies to optimize IT spending, such as vendor consolidation, volume discounts, or alternative sourcing methods.
  • Collaborate with business units and IT teams to understand their objectives and align IT with the overall business strategy.
  • Assist in the development of the IT department's annual budget, working closely with IT leaders and finance teams.
  • Track and monitor IT spending against the budget, providing timely reports on variances and justifications for any deviations.
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards to visualize IT portfolio performance, budget utilization, cost savings, and other relevant metrics.
  • Identify any irregularities, potential cost overruns, or compliance issues and work with relevant teams to address them promptly.
  • Maintain all Corporate IT contracts and work with business and product owners on terms, renewals and contract terminations. Present comprehensive reports to leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommended improvements.
  • Foster strong working relationships with procurement, finance, and accounts payable teams to streamline processes and improve communication.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, IT, or related, or foreign degree equivalent, plus four (4) years of financial analysis experience.

The experience (which may be gained concurrently) must also include each of the following:

3 years of experience in Purchase-to-Pay related experience;
2 years of experience with SAP, Jaggaer, ServiceNow, Concur, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Office;
2 years of experience with financial management;
2 years of experience in financial data analytics; and
2 years of experience in Business / Process Optimization.

Job Location: Charles River Laboratories, Inc. 251 Ballardvale Street, Wilmington, MA 01887. (100% telecommuting allowed). 40 hours per week, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
