Job Summary
The APAC Distributor Manager is responsible for supporting the Microbial Solutions Distributor Network in the region of Asia Pacific. This goal of this role is to provide support to the APAC Channel Partners that will drive revenue, strengthen channel partner relationships, and assist in the growth of CRL Business in APAC territory. This individual works closely with the Microbial Solutions Commercial team to meet and exceed sales quotas for a specific territory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing and Executing Channel Strategy: Defining the overall approach for working with partners in the APAC region, including recruitment, onboarding, management, and enablement. Goals need to be outlined in quarterly business reviews with partners and internal stakeholders.
- Managing and Nurturing Partner Relationships: Building strong relationships with partners is essential for driving sales and ensuring partner success. This is accomplished through co-travel, support at trade shows, seminars, workshops, and in person and remote support on opportunities with customers.
- Driving Revenue through Channel Partners: This is the core responsibility, and it involves setting sales targets for partners, providing them with necessary resources and support, and tracking their performance. Recognizing where partners can expand market share and the company’s reach, tracking opportunities through Sales Force.
- Providing Training and Support to Partners: Ensuring partners are knowledgeable about Charles River’s products and services. Creating new and using existing tools and resources to sell effectively.
- Analyzing and Optimizing Partner Performance: Tracking key metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and adjusting the channel strategy as needed to achieve company goals.
Job Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in channel sales, business development, or related fields, including experience in CRM software
- Leadership skills: The ability to lead and motivate channel partners and their teams, as well as influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams, both internal and within channel partner’s teams.
- Strategic thinking: The ability to develop and execute channel strategies that align with overall business objectives.
- Relationship-building skills: The ability to build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Communication skills: The ability to communicate effectively with partners and internal teams.
- Data analysis skills: The ability to track and analyze partner performance data to identify areas for improvement.
- Travel: Expected to travel around 50% of the time
