Living in Kingston

Kingston was New York's first capital in 1777 and is very popular for all the attractions that surround it. Some of the city's attractions are Kingston Waterfront, Old Hurley Stonehouses, Uptown Kingston, and Shawangunk Ridge (which is known for its world class rock climbing). There are many local orchards and breweries around the area. The Rondout neigborhood is known for its art and galleries which tends to attract artists and festivals. 

Kingston is only an hour away from Albany and two from New York City. Kingston is within a short distance of the Hudson river as it sits on its west bank.
