Charles River’s pathology services facility located in Frederick, MD, specializes in providing high quality necropsy, histology, and pathology support for Toxicologic Pathology Safety Assessment and Drug Discovery studies. Toxicologic Pathology evaluations may be for general or specialized toxicologic pathology evaluations. In addition, our facility offers a full-complement of Medical Device Pathology services including plastics histology, medical device/biomaterial pathology, morphometry, and imaging.
Through collaboration with our sister pathology services facilities in Durham, NC and Skokie, IL, our close to 200-employee team (Pathology Associates; PAI) offers efficient and high quality technical and scientific support for other internal Charles River sites as well as directly to our external clients.

Frederick is the home of Riverside Research Park, a large biomedical research park located on Frederick's east side.
